Photographer Theo Derksen got inspired by a conversation he once had with French philosopher Jean Baudrillard about what actually is reality in a photo. Today’s constantly changing metropolitan areas occupied which fictional staged images on massive billboards and construction sites hidden behind plastic realities became Theo’s atelier. The fluorescent orange ink that is used in the book is a metaphor for the over present and at the same time non present meaning of this reality.
