The sleepy district capital of Kribi was to become one of the most important trade and industrial centers of Cameroon. What was originally planned as a photodocumentary on the effect of the changes on the tiny little village of Eboundja became an intimate portrait miniature of a village and its residents. The spirits of both living and deceased residents are visualized by laser dye-cut silhouettes.
